These Terms of Use govern your use of the RetireLoom mobile application and website. By using RetireLoom, you agree to these terms.
1. Educational planning tool
RetireLoom provides illustrative retirement projections based on assumptions you enter. It is an educational scenario-planning tool and does not provide financial, investment, tax, accounting, legal, insurance, Social Security, pension, or other professional advice.
Nothing in RetireLoom is a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, borrow, withdraw, convert, claim, or otherwise act. Consult appropriately qualified professionals before making financial or legal decisions.
2. Estimates and assumptions
Projections are hypothetical and are not guarantees or predictions. Actual investment returns, inflation, taxes, laws, pension benefits, insurance policy performance, expenses, longevity, and other outcomes may differ materially. You are responsible for reviewing inputs and determining whether they are appropriate for your circumstances.
3. Insurance and tax limitations
Indexed universal life values and loans depend on the terms and continued performance of the specific policy. Policy loans can increase lapse risk and may cause tax consequences. Tax estimates are simplified illustrations and are not tax-return calculations.
4. Acceptable use
You may use RetireLoom for personal, lawful planning purposes. You may not misuse the service, attempt to interfere with it, reverse engineer it except where applicable law permits, or use it to violate another person’s rights.
5. Ownership
RetireLoom, its visual identity, software, and original content are owned by RetireLoom or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
6. Availability and changes
We may change, suspend, or discontinue features and may update these terms. We do not promise that RetireLoom will always be available, error-free, or compatible with every device.
7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RetireLoom is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. RetireLoom and its owner will not be liable for decisions made using the app, lost profits, lost data, or indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
8. Apple
If you download RetireLoom through Apple’s App Store, Apple is not responsible for providing maintenance or support for the app except as required by law. Your use is also subject to applicable App Store terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable where RetireLoom’s owner is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where consumer law requires otherwise.
